Kathleen discovered her passion for active citizenship early on through witnessing her family’s charitable works. As a way to formalize and increase her family’s outreach, Kathleen co-founded Benevolent Heart, Inc. in collaboration with her brother. She brings years of experience working with non-profit organizations, both domestically and internationally, which include Alternative Breaks at UC San Diego, the Pacific Fleet of the United States Navy's Pacific Partnership, and the Crimson Care Collaborative, a student-faculty volunteer clinic, where she connected her patients with community resources to overcome social barriers to consistent healthcare as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) student leader and clinician. She is a graduate of the FNP program at MGH Institute of Health Professions.
