Phuong is the founding inspiration behind Benevolent Heart. She balances a full-time schedule as wife, mother, homemaker, and beautician, while prioritizing her active volunteer efforts both in San Diego and her birth country of Vietnam. She regularly contributes to homeless food shelters and soup kitchens throughout the county. In December 2018, she helped coordinate the inaugural Benevolent Heart mission trip which delivered goods and supplies to high-poverty and rural villages in Vietnam. She has years of experience in fundraising and organizing the personal charitable activities of her family and is well-regarded as a devoted member of her faith community.
