Jonathan was raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he was introduced to local and international service through buildOn, a nonprofit that sent him to Mali for the groundbreaking of a remote-community school. As an undergraduate at Brown University, he was plugged into service and mentorship throughout the Brown Center for Students of Color and First-Generation College and Low-Income Center. Today, Jonathan continues his dedication to service as a medical student in the UC San Diego School of Medicine’s Program in Health Equity. Among other leadership roles, he has served as a clinic manager for the UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic and conducts research around health disparities as they pertain to Latino access to healthcare.
