Ryan’s passion for active citizenship was inspired by his grandparents’ tireless efforts to develop Massachusetts Christian charity organizations. From a young age, Ryan has organized grassroots efforts to raise funds for causes with local and distant reach: From the ages of 11 to 14, Ryan raised nearly $50,000 for the American Cancer Society. By age 17, Ryan was recognized as Citizen of the Year by his hometown for founding an annual 5K event that raises funds for local food pantries during a time of economic uncertainty. He continues that spirit of charitable work with Benevolent Heart. Ryan has a bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Harvard College, and he currently acts as Director of Business Development at Abveris.
